Course Description: Are you new to shooting or wanting to learn the basics of loading, unloading, and safe gun handling?  If so, this is the course for you.  The fundamentals of handgun shooting are covered in this course that will get you ready for more advanced courses, or simply make you a better shooter.  This is a fun course, which is designed to pace the student as fast as they are comfortable.   Great for friend groups that want to get into shooting!

Class Learning Objectives:

  • Handgun safety
  • Loading and unloading procedures
  • Fundamentals of marksmanship
  • Basic malfunction clearances

Required Gear:

  • Serviceable handgun and magazines (2-3) or speed loaders (2-3)
  • Note: Holster is not required, but students must have a safe method of transporting firearms such as a gun case or bag
  • 250 rounds of ammunition (*Note, this is an estimated quantity due to the unique flexibility of the program, students may shoot more or less)
  • 5-10 rounds of dummy ammunition (your caliber)
  • Firearms rated eye and ear protection
  • Personal comfort items (chair, water, snacks, sunscreen, etc.)

Have you always wanted to learn how to get out of the holster quickly and efficiently?  When the fight comes to you, can you identify, engage and assess that threat while confidently manipulating your weapon a in a controlled and fluent manner? Do you feel it is important to develop a fighting / winning mindset as a lifestyle? If the answer to any of these real-world training questions is YES, then the 101 is the one-day action packed course for you.  This course includes a free video download of all of the essential drills!

  • High performance marksmanship techniques (stance, grip, trigger)
  • High performance manipulation techniques (draw, reloads, dealing with malfunctions)
  • Visual processing and recognition
  • Concealed carry gear considerations

Course Description: A large majority of the time we may be potentially involved in a fight for our life, it may be dark.  Whether you are assaulted in a dark parking lot, or forced to defend yourself in your own yard, learning how to prepare for low light shooting is a key skill you need to have. This particular class teaches all of the elements you need to know to properly equip yourself and operated in a low light environment.  Not just shooting is taught in this course, but the full defensive application of the flashlight in dark conditions.

  • Low light tactics
  • Low light search techniques
  • Low light shooting options
  • Low light defensive and combative options

Required Gear:

  • Serviceable handgun and magazines (2-3) or speed loaders (2-3)
