DEFEND! Close Quarters Shooting Positions and Distance Management
with Michael Seeklander

What it is: A short (2-3 hours), interactive, informative online course taught through video lecture, instructor demonstration and feedback perfectly designed to help the student learn and master a skill. Learn from the comfort of home! You DON’T need a range or even live ammunition to dramatically increase your skill level. Students who have attended an ONLINE class tell us they learned more than the ON RANGE class they took! Sessions include instruction, dry fire (or Coolfire) drills as well as live fire drill assignments at the end of class. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance for continuing education purposes or personal tracking.
How it works: Students will learn from lectures and participate in skill practice for live instructor feedback.
While students are encouraged to participate, anyone enrolled can simply watch, learn and ask questions. It's your choice!
What you need: 1. Computer or Smart Device and Internet with good speed, 2. Webcam with microphone, 3. Distraction free room 4. Course required firearm gear (see the gear list for your course)
THIS CLASS COVERS:
A detailed mini block that will cover context driven close quarters shooting positions. Distance management will be covered and then we will move into shooting from compressed, and contact shooting positions. We will also cover offline movement as well as transitioning from one position to the next. The last portion of the class will cover some simple techniques for retaining your firearm if someone grabs it.
Carrying a handgun is a huge responsibility and learning how to manage distance and shoot from close range positions is a skill that a large majority of gun carriers don’t know. Don’t wait until you are fighting for your handgun to learn these techniques!
