Open to: Anyone.  A basic level of proficiency (loading, unloading, and familiarity) is required.

Course Description: Red Dot sighted handguns are increasing in popularity.  Mike Seeklander has been competing with Red Dot sighted handguns since 1997, before the concept of using one on a carry gun was even considered.  The process of transitioning to a Red Dot can be confusing, and this class will cover all the bases.

  • Mounting Solutions
  • Red Dot Presentation Skills
  • Tracking the Dot
  • Red Dot Shooting Diagnostics

Required Gear:

  • Serviceable Red Dot sighted handgun and magazines (2-3) or speed loaders (2-3)
  • Handgun carry gear (we recommend your daily carry holster and gear)
  • 350-500 rounds of ammunition (*Note, this is an estimated quantity due to the unique flexibility of the program, students may shoot more or less)
  • 10 rounds of dummy ammunition (your caliber)
  • Concealing garment (if you carry concealed)
  • Firearms rated eye and ear protection
  • Personal comfort items (chair, water, snacks, sunscreen, etc.)
  • Notebook and pen
